Understanding Your Results
Ingram iD measures impressions, click-through rates, and costs per click for your advertising campaigns.
Impressions are an advertising metric used to measure the number of times an advertisement is shown to users on a web page (or within an app). An impression is counted each time the ad is loaded and shown to a user, even if the user doesn't interact with it.
The Click-Through Rate (CTR) measures the effectiveness of an advertisement or link in generating user engagement. It is the percentage of users who see an ad (the impressions) and then click on it.
The Cost Per Click (CPC) measures the cost of an ad, based on the number of times a user clicks on it. It's a pricing model commonly used in platforms like search engines, social media, and display networks. Simply divide your total campaign cost by the total clicks to get a picture of how effectively your dollars are working.
Ingram iD consistently offers higher CTRs and lower CPCs than those platforms’ averages across all industries.
For example, iD’s average CTR for a Facebook ad is over 4%. Outside of iD, the industry average is 0.9%. That means almost four times as many people click through on one of iD’s Facebook ads as do on average.
More clicks means fewer ad dollars spent. The average CPC for a Facebook ad on Ingram iD is only $0.40, much less than the average CPC of $1.86 across all industries.
